Dr. Liu is an associate professor of the 100-Talent Programme of Beihag University. Dr. Liu obtained his PhD degree from Beihang University. Then he worked as a postdoctor for two years at Beihang University. After that Dr. Liu worked as a postdoctor at Prof. Victor Shim’s group at National University of Singapore. He joined Beihang University in June 2013 as an associate professor. Beihang University is the most famous university in aeronautics and astronautics in China and one of the most famous universities in China.
Dr. Liu’s research mainly focuses on structural dynamics, computational solid mechanics, and molecular dynamic simulations. He has worked on analytical and numerical solutions for vibration of plates and shells for about five years. Dr. Liu has obtained a lot of exact solutions for free vibration of plates and shells. He has also proposed a differential quadrature (DQ) finite element method that is superior to the famous DQ method in several aspects. Dr. Liu has worked on molecular dynamic simulations of mechanical properties of polymer nanoparticle composites for one year. Dr. Liu also has experiences in nonlinear mechanics, impact dynamics, soft active materials, magneto-thermo-elastic, etc. Dr. Liu has 14 publications in international journals.
